James Nares, Fugue in E flat
James Nares(1715 1783), D.Mus. (Cantab, 1757), was a pupil of Pepusch and later Assistant Organist to John Piggott, at St. George's Chapel, Windsor. He was Organist of York Minster 1735-1756, and of of the Chapel Royal 1753-1783. He published Six Fuges with Introductory Voliuntary's (1772); Seven Fugues; and Il principio or A Regular Introduction to Playing on the Harpsichord or Organ (c. 1760).
