Girard Avenue Trolley Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled
SEPTA's Route 15 along Girard Avenue is the only streetcar line in Philadelphia currently still in operation. It uses Presidents’ Conference Committee (PCC) streetcars built in the 1930s by the St. Louis Car Company to the specifications drawn up by the committee of presidents of the various streetcar companies at the time. It operates on the 5 ft. 2˝ in. gauge adopted for the Philadelphia streetcars in the nineteenth century.
