Philip ap Rhys Osanna
Philip ap Rhys (fl. 1545-1560) was presumably a Welshman, and he is known to have resigned as organist of the Church of St. Mary-at-Hill in London in 1547. This was possibly to take up the post of organist of St. Paul's Cathedral.

His verset "Osanna" has here been transposed down a fifth to bring it to sixteenth-century organ pitch. It might either be played on 4 ft. stops or an octave higher on 8 ft. stops. The treble line might be played as a solo.
