Bohuslav Matěj Černohorský , Fugue in D minor
The Czech composer Bohuslav Matěj Černohorský (1684-1742) was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest in Prague in 1708, but fell under a cloud and was exiled to Italy for ten years, during which time he was organist of San Francisco d' Assisi and took lessons from Tartini. After his exile he returned to Bohemia and became a music teacher in Prague, where his students included such prominent musicians as Josef Seger and František Tůma. He eventually returned to Italy and became organist of Padua. He died in Graz, Austria.
