Good Christian people all (Gilchrist)
The text is by the Rev. E. Haskins, M.A., who was a Church of England clergyman. The tune is by William Wallace Gilchrist, who was baritone soloist at Holy Trinity Church on Rittenhouse Square and St. Mark’s Church in Philadelphia, and organist of St. Clement’s in Philadelphia, Christ Church in Germantown, and at the Swedenborgian Church. Mr. Gilchrist's harmonies are remarkably modern for the late nineteenth century.
