Come, let us celebrate the day (Düring)
Several composers set this old English text, but its origins are rather obscure. Charles A. A. Düring was born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1854, and died in New York some time after 1920. He was a generous donor of music and other materials to several New York institutions, and also held patents for a waterproof cement for leather and an improved form of piano stool.
