Thomas Busby, Mus. Doc. (Cantab.), LL.D. (1755-1838), was organist of the Churches of St. Mary Woolnoth and St. Mary, Newington, in London, as well as a major music historian of his day. This edition of his anthem based on Isaac Watts's 1708 text was edited by B. Cross and Published in Philadelphia in the early nineteenth century.
