Double Anglican chants written by nineteenth-century Boston composer Edward Little White (1809-1851). He produced The Modern Harp or Boston Sacred Melodist. A Collection of Church Music, by Edward L. White and John E. Gould (Boston, 1848); also The Wreath of School Songs, by Edward L. White and J. Edgar Gould (Boston, 1848), as well as piano music and popular songs. The below chants come from Supplement to the Washington Harmony, by T. B. White and E. L. White (Newburyport, 1836). White is today best remembered for his popular songs on native American subjects, such as "The Blue Juniata" and "The Sachem's Daughter."
